On September 21, 2020, the VIII International Conference on Applied Research in Economics (iCare8) was held at HSE Perm University. The conference focuses on research that has practical application and relevance for solving real-world problems. Therefore, the conference's acronym reflects its motto: iCare = I care.

Michael Koetter
Professor of Financial Economics at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and head of the Financial Markets department at Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) - Member of the Leibniz Association, Professor of International Financial and Monetary Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business at University of Groningen (the Netherlands). He has a record of top publications in economics and finance, such as in the Review of Financial Studies, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Monetary Economics, Review of Finance, etc. Michael is the editor of Economics of Transition and an associate editor of the Journal of Financial Stability.
